Yang and Yamazaki Environment and Energy Building
The 3-story, 166,500 square foot lab and classroom facility goes above and beyond many LEED standards. The project's platinum standard for green building is based on Stanford's own criteria, not those from the U.S. Green Building Council. Stanford didn't apply for official LEED certification, relying instead on what it says is a more rigorous energy initiative and standards for campus buildings.
