Working as a design-build partner with the general contractor and 5 architectural firms, we helped deliver 1.2 million SF across 14 structures that roughly doubled the physical capacity of the campus.

We did two small TI's for Facebook in Palo Alto in 2007. Since then, we have completed dozens of projects for them in Burlingame, Fremont, Menlo Park, Newark, San Francisco, Santa Clara and Sunnyvale.

Six buildings totaling 750,000 square feet, five floors included offices, corporate briefing center, manufacturing and R&D facilities, labs, full-service café, auditorium, and a fitness center.

Our first large OSHPD 1 project was the 297,000 square foot, 4-story hospital on Kaiser's Santa Clara Replacement Campus, which replaced a 50-year-old hospital and medical campus two miles away.

Ten Almaden is a prestigious 17-story, 309,000 SF, Class A office building located in the heart of downtown San Jose. The building is recognized as one of Downtown San Jose’s trophy towers.

Located in the heart of the Lake Merritt and Uptown markets, the 465,000-square-foot building contains 20 floors of square feet of Class A office and ground floor retail space.

99 Almaden is part of a three-building office campus in downtown San Jose. California Drywall worked on all 3 buildings which ranged from 8-12 stories and totaled 416,000 square feet.

Liberty House Department Store had 180,000 square feet of retail on six selling floors with approximately 25,000 square feet of office space on the seventh floor.

The $25-million, 18-story, 250-room hotel opened on November 9, 1973.

Eastridge was billed as the largest indoor mall in the West when it launched in 1971.

When built, the 18-story Pruneyard Tower the tallest building between San Francisco and Los Angeles.

After 32-years in business, the second-generation takes over.
1965
The Summit is a 32-story apartment building in Russian Hill. At completion it was both the tallest apartment building in San Francisco and the city’s highest building at 600 feet above sea level.

California Drywall was one of the first drywall companies to install light gauge steel studs and track.
1957
During the 1950’s and 1960’s California Drywall installed and finished drywall in all Eichler homes in Northern California. (Once Eichler stopped using wood veneer paneling alone on interior walls.)
1955
Bob and Stan Ames invented a line of taping tools that revolutionized the drywall industry. Located in San Carlos, the Ames brothers worked with California Drywall to test their new products.
1946
We got our start when Leonard Eckstrom, a salesman for the United States Gypsum Company, saw a bright future in drywall. At 55 years old, he invested everything he had to start California Drywall.
