La Cocina Municipal Marketplace

Photographer: Erin Ng

La Cocina, a nonprofit focused on helping women of color and immigrant entrepreneurs by providing affordable commercial kitchen space and technical expertise to launch food businesses.

The 7,000 square foot La Cocina Municipal Marketplace is a vibrant and community-oriented food hall and gathering space located in the heart of San Francisco’s Tenderloin district. It is also the first all-women led food hall in the country and is home to eight fast-casual restaurants operated by La Cocina incubator businesses. Each of the Marketplace’s eight vendors has its own cooking station in the center of the food hall, with communal dining spaces lining the perimeter. An additional kiosk space will feature rotating pop-ups and a lounge will be open for late-night drinks.
