In the school’s first new building project in nearly half a century, Menlo College opened a new residence hall for about 300 students struggling to find affordable housing in one of the nation’s most expensive areas. The three-story, 57,267-square-foot, John Arrillaga Residence Hall has 141 double-occupancy rooms, along with six single-occupancy rooms for resident advisers for a total of 288 beds. The fully ADA compliant building includes shared kitchens, lounges, study spaces and other entertainment features like a space for e-gaming, films, and socializing.
