SLAC Science and User Support Building

Photographer: Michael O'Callahan

The 62,000 square foot Science and User Support Building (SUSB) serves as the administration and visitors’ building on the Stanford Linear Accelerator Campus. The SUSB houses offices, and support areas as well as the campus’ only cafeteria and dining commons. A flexible conference center, including a 350-seat auditorium, hosts regular colloquia where campus research scientists gather to share in their latest discoveries. Finally, the SUSB acts as a Visitor Center, where the greater community can come to learn about the important work and technology being developed at SLAC. LEED Gold certified and a High Performance Sustainable Building.
