With companies adopting open layout concepts, there’s an increase in the need for acoustic solutions to address the noise issues. In this 37,000 two floor expansion and renovation for a tech client, a number of different acoustic ceiling treatments were installed that help dampen noise and control the level of sound in different areas of the office.

In the fifth floor break room, a dimensional ceiling product transforms the space by adding dimension and texture as well as acoustical performance. In the adjacent bar/café space, fabric wrapped ceiling panels offer additional acoustical performance with a clean linear aesthetic. On the fourth floor custom perforated walnut panels with exceptional sound absorption properties and a warm aesthetic were installed in key gathering areas and the prominent “public” hall. Close coordination between the installer and manufacturer enabled the manufacturer to more exactly make and cut the panels and ensure an exact fit when installed.
