The two-story, 55,000 square foot, David and Joan Traitel Building provides the Hoover Institution a dynamic new home, adding new capacity in both offices and conferencing facilities in order to meet this demand for policy-oriented research and dissemination. The building’s first floor  is a major conferencing center, featuring a 400-seat auditorium equipped with a sophisticated audio system and perforated acoustic wall and ceiling panels that allows visitors, wherever they are seated, to hear comfortably and easily Also housed on the ground floor is a 440-seat multipurpose and dining room. The second floor houses the administrative headquarters for the Hoover Fellows and staff.
