A $60 million, six-story, 80,000 square foot Connie & Kevin Chou Hall is designed for flexibility and change, providing learning and collaboration spaces for the 21st century. It features state-of-the-art technology and flexible spaces aimed at transforming the student experience, including eight classrooms that can be converted to flexible-use rooms or new classroom designs in the future. It also includes four flexible-use spaces for experiential learning, 28 study rooms, lounges with configurable seats. Its design nurtures evolving learning modes and environments.

 

The 300-seat event space, sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay Area, serves as the hub of public activities, where the Berkley Hass community can network and hear new ideas from faculty, alumni, and other top business leaders and thinkers.

 

Chou hall has been designed to target certified LEED Platinum status in recognition of its environmentally conscious design, construction, operation, and maintenance. It is on track to earn WELL Certification and it is working toward a zero-waste certification.
